I hope 'The Stars My Destination' is anywhere as great as the novel. it will be a treat. 'When Worlds Collide' could potentially be the greatest disaster film of all time. The novel is so incredible.

other novels that would make amazing films: 'The Purple Cloud', 'The Wonder', 'Lilith', 'The Haunted Woman', 'Devil's Tor', 'We' (would be so hard to get right but I think it is possible), 'A Crock of Gold', so many Lovecraft tales, 'Dr Adder' (would be the most fucked up beautiful cyber punk sci-fi fantasy film ever if it were ever to be made, such a great novel!) and so many more!

Jack Finney - Of Missing Persons is my favorite short story ever and this thread motivated me to look for it and read it again after probably 12 years and it's still marvelous. Check it out!
