Music like Boards of Canada

BoC often makes me realize that there is more beauty in the everyday, whether I'm looking out a train window at a distant skyline or across green fields and open skies. (I have several playlists that I used whenever I returned to my childhome, too, so there's a nostalgia aspect as well in some cases.)

For that kind of experience, I recommend:

Michael Rother (Flammende Herzen, Katzenmusik)

Memory Tapes (esp. the song "Run Out," though I'm whisked away to proto-1993 rather than '73)

Washed Out ("Good Luck", etc)

Brian Eno & Harold Budd (Ambient 2: The Plateaux of Mirror)

Others have mentioned what I would've (Bibio - "Fi"; Freescha - "Kids Fill the Floor"; Christ.; etc), but none of them successfully emulate BoC in any meaningful way.

Happy hunting.

Idk if it was suggested, but Odd Nosdam's later albums are down-tempo-y. Level Live Wires is nice, Burner is really droney, and Pretty Swell Explode has two remixes of Dayvan Cowboy + other good tracks.

Also, grab the Hell Interface track off of the Whine and Missingtoe album on V/vm test records, I'm sure you can get it for free off of there.
