you are right though, they can't make EVERYTHING up, but if the writers just had some general outline that they could follow, everything would probably have fallen into place a lot easier instead of having to use deus ex machina gimmicks.

they probably had a bunch of failed ideas, network execs in the way and audience catering that influenced it all too.

haha, yea. i agree with you there. im not saying they are trying to get back to the island, but last night was suggesting that as they discover their alternate realities, they need to fix it so it was like it was supposed to be before the bomb went off. which is totally retarded.

its like they were on the island and the shows struggle was for them to get off the island. then they were off the island, and characters struggled to convince each other to get back to the island. then they were back on the island and they had to convince each other to light this nuke to create a new reality. they did that and now they have to convince each other to remember their alternate reality? seriously?

yeh its a bit ridiculous for sure, I dunno we will see if this show redeems itself or just becomes a beast with a thousand facepalm's dicks in our collective arse'z

it just felt like a good season1 episode to me. the NOT PENNY'S BOAT in the car was probably the first genuinely awesome thing to happen all season.

it also made the alt timeline relevant, but my concern here is that they've only got 7 (or so?) hours left...they're really gonna have to get a move on - now there REALLY isn't time for shitty filler.

it kinda annoys me whenever someone questions someone's motivation or presence and they just go "blererehh the island wills it!!!!" but i'm willing to grant them such a premise for the next couple of episodes at least because their flimsy narrative relies on it
