my guess is that they did see this flaw and went "oh shit this doesn't make any sense why would he save them and then try to kill them?" "aaaaaa shitshitshitshit maybe flocke needs the plane but not the sub", "okokokok how do we justify that?", "hmm maybe locke can fly a plane, yes! that's it let's include something about him knowing how to fly in the sideways flash", "phew, that was close, everything fits perfectly now".

lol, i was thinking the exact same thing during that scene, except i thought it was really selfish of jack to leave them behind when a little elbow grease from both jin and jack could've gotten sun out.

also, a submarine can probably dive pretty far down in a span of five minutes, combined with the fact it was sinking for like five minutes after the bomb went off... well, there would've been no chance for any of the losties to get out alive.

well, that was pretty obvious from the latest episode. still think it might have been fun if flocke who was the good guy. maybe it's disinfo and they'll do the ol' switcheroo....

i think they could have still switched it. he had to kill them to be able to get off but generally hes a good guy imprisoned on an island

that was the most retarded thing ive ever seen on television

biggest facepalm of this episode was the bomb scenario.

you get the impression that the bomb would easily wipe them all out since they're in a small air tight sub.

so they are basically doomed, but then Sayid magically decides to run away with the bomb, although they would all die anyway.

But luckily it does not turn out that way and some MINOR (yes) damage is done to the sub, eventually forcing them to swim up to the surface, without having their brains blown out because of the water pressure..........

their best chance of survining would just have been to put the bomb in the far end of the sub and hide behind a closed door or whatnot, in the other far end. Extremely stupid.

also in that way they could easily test jack's theory at the same time...

also what kind of a fucking idiot would make a bomb that you can defuse by pulling out the cables on the side. jesus christ.
