squarepusher Loops Haunt

Omg just started listening to this guy's mixes and he is sick, anyone else here into him? Not sure how to describe it but it combines some of the best elements of IDM, dubstep, and wonky but sounds totally fresh. Check out this mix he just did for Electronic Explorations if you're interested, his set starts about 26 minutes in. I expect big things from him in 2010.

I think Fortified Records signed him, although I'm not really familiar with the label other than it being NY based I think.

i love how his new stuff is even less dubstep than most of the stuff in this thread, the guy moves quick which is admirable

yeah, Loops is awesome. far and away one of my most top rated producers about at the moment. absolutely top bloke. met him a few times down here in Brighton after Henry booked him for the Wrong nights. Had a couple jams with him too, will have to try and dig up the recordings.

There's a couple other short mixes of his floating about too, some thing he did to promo a show. Thats where I first heard his stuff, I'll try to find the link also.

Definately agree about Ark as well, more of a departure from the dub step sound than his previous stuff. Although to be honest, never felt dubstep was a particularly appropriate term for what he makes.

what gets me most of all though, is he's one of those super rare producers who's obviously awesome at sound design, but has the musicality to keep it from sounding like a technical exercise.
