you all have horible taste in guitars

Some of us want our guitars to be versatile, consistent and at the utmost quality rather than hipster fashion accessories... lawlz

of course i forgot these classic guitars were built in the 60s for the hipster fashion scene 40 yrs later.

and of course burns, hofner and national were notorious for building shit guitars weren't they

your completely missing my point, I was kind of joking and I remind you... you are the one who stated you have such amazing eagle eye important taste in guitars

I just want some charcoal or "off-black" replacement keys for my laptop. Owning a laptop for the first time in my life, to run Renoise, was my dream. Is that sad?

edit: replacement keys for marking white/black keys in the tracker

haha nice, i was thinking of doing that myself!

hehe, I just need a nice midi controller, been using my desktop keyboard for a fake midi controller for a lil bit now, Im starting to get used to it but that would pretty awesome if it had some ivory key coding properties lawlz

Should we have another thread for "stuff you really NEED" rather than "fetish gear"?

I mean, I desperately need a better input/output for my laptop because I'm currently running my old mixing desk into the microphone jack through a stereo cable and that is FAR from ideal in every way but I'm kind of too lazy to do anything about it.

Sorting that out is probably far more important than any other bit of gear, no matter how much I want a Putney or an Aural Exciter.

When Neil Young dies I want to steal his "Old Black"

oh yeah, ibanez make some nice guitars eg. jet king, AF/AFS hollowbody guitars (i have an AFS75T, it's absolutely beautiful), acoustics etc.. i just think that their metal guitars, such as the steve vai models and the various other metal themed guitars are pretty much designed to play metal.. it's a shame that their line of 7+ string guitars are designed to not only sound good playing metal, but look like a metal guitar. because i'd totally buy a 7 string guitar if it didn't have a ridiculously flat neck and hot-as-fuck humbucker pickups.

have you ever played the jem 7?

i've played one of their 7string guitars, dunno if it was a 'jem 7' but i didn't really like it. that said, it was probably one of the lower end models.

I never got on with the 7 stringers, Found the necks far too bulky and uncomfortable. For low stuff, I prefer strapping on some heavy ass strings and drop tuning a regular 6 string. Have always wanted to try a 7 string with an extra high string rather that a low B or whatever. I love Ibanez guitars, have had a JS in the blue burnt finish for years, love it to pieces, got such a nice tone to it, and really versatile sounding. Wish I'd been a bit more careful with it tho, it's more than a little tired looking. Still sounds 100% and plays like a dream.

Ultimate fetish gear would be a giant Buchla. Or more in the real world, a montrous PC that could handle anything I could throw at it. Sick of maxing out my processor.

my electrics are primarily tuned down to B which is the standard tuning for baritone's but I want to be able to go lower for crazy dynamics, I will own an 8 string tuned down to Z flat before I check out

A drum sequencer that works the way i want it to! Ultrabeat comes close, but not quite. Got high hopes for mDrummer when it comes to mac, guess we'll see.

..and a neon green, glow in the dark, translucent quality viola with pink strings!

EMS Synthi (any of them basically) and MS-20 are two of my dream synths.

More realistically right now I just want an mc-202 I almost got one but it went out of my price range near the end, was so close I got quite frustrated.

i've never done acid but i guess that's how a frog sounds if you give it acid. it's my little acid frog friend.
