that fact mix is just insanely good, def check it out

is the vinyl box a limited thing? will there be a U.S. distribution? can't really rationalize dropping $60 for an LP (even a 2XLP + digi snacks)

i get a nice, sort of serene evening vibe from Pt2ph8. like a desert-scape at dusk mood, with native american undertones. i like the relaxed tempo. haven't seen this track really talked about yet

Oh God they've reviewed the promo, meaning it's real. Oh God I feel sick, I've not had anything to eat, but it's the promo, it's terrible. Just the thought of see on see being a highlight, rather than a pretty interim track before the epic Treale. Which isn't epic or mind blowing I have to say. It's poo. see on see being so direct and crystal clear with a memorable melody I want to hear again and again, and most of the rest being convulated, forgettable, primitive, aimless and meandering.

I WILL NOT BELIEVE UNTIL I HAVE THE CD

But I am already crying inside.

excuse me sir, but your personal opinion seems to be wrong.

but honestly, I used the word "meandering" to describe the new autechre to a friend the first time i heard it - but that's not the case anymore, I couldn't bring myself to accept that autechre would ever release something sub par, and after a few more listens it proved true. It's actually quite "next level" the whole tone and pace of the album is definitely something different - but it's VERY very good. Trust me. Keep listening - if it doesn't sound good, You're doing it wrong.

I have the strange feeling that I've forgotten all of this before.

this sounnds like silly fanboy gibberish, but it´s true.

It's like Die Antwoord: total next level shit!

Also, stfu about The Wire's review. It's a limitation of the medium. Writing about music is like dancing about architecture, after all.

OH SHII--

That's so true. What do you want them to say? I smiled when I read it.

Me too actually, probably my favorite of the ambient tracks on the album.

I was wondering that too about the wire. Was the writer trying to prove something about vocabulary? It doesn't really say too much about music

I haven't read it (only skimmed it) but your comment reminds me of Pitchfork.

the wire review is one of the few refreshing things i've read here, with all of the quibbling over track times, legitimacy of the leak, and the sound quality. thanks for posting it!

I thought it was great too - I've read a lot of shitty, thesaurus-milking dreck in the music press, but the difference here is that the guy knows what the words actually mean.

I know that feeling of the ghost of the rhythmic pulse remaining in your mind long after the beats have been scrambled beyond recognition, in fact if there was a single quality I could use to describe their music, that would be it. So many times I find myself nodding to a rhythm that's not even there.

Why is Qplay hardly mentioned? I think it's one of the most beautiful beat driven tracks they've done, and the ending melody is very emotional. Sure, what follows it (Treale) is a real stomper, but Qplay is a thing of subtle beauty.

im personally enjoying by qplay very much as well...the beginning melodies are amazing.

This album is an absolute addiction. Can I just say this.... I wish I had a second disc. This one is THAT good. If Oversteps was a double disc, it'd be a masterpiece, it'd be my number one.

lol, Tri Rep didn't even make your list. Putting Chiastic that low is criminal too.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!
