Autechre Autechre - Oversteps (WARP210) [The MegaThread]

It's still early, but I think I can safely say that this is my favourite autechre album.

How many times can I download Oversteps from Bleep?

I've downloaded both versions but it seems to still be giving me the option to DL again.

I assume when you do it to often with different cookies they will block it and start asking questions

Its not like they don't know who you are

Hmm... I dunno, it sorta works for this record I think. Certainly works better for the music than black + white does. The whole art/packing/design for this seems at complete odds with the contents to me and funnily enough I'm thinking that the green is probably the most appropriate part of the whole lot...

yeah the oversteps cover is a pile of shite. I think if you plopped the Untilted cover on this one it'd be more appropriate. It needs some sort of organic-but-techy and intricate colorful thing.

I think the name of the album is also at complete odds with the music. I love the music now, but 'Oversteps' just doesn't fit it. Apart from Treale, maybe, which has got a bit more of a b-boy hip hop thing going on. 'Oversteps' would have fitted the last three albums far better... especially Untilted.

A mysterious made up name like 'Confield', only less dark and not quite as mysterious sounding, would have been ideal for Oversteps.

not a fan of the obvious gradient either :P

maybe the cheap digital photos are off-color, i would expect it to be more yellow than green, like the stream site

wishing this was a double album. i love it through and through but it already feels so familiar. and it's not even really out yet in my country

Everyone keeps saying Green, but that looks Yellow to me. I think it could just be the color/white balance of the camera.

but look at the bag next to the cover: It is yellow

I will kill for that shirt. Not enough Ae shirts... I have one for Envane and one for Gantz Graf, but yeah I need this!

That's my Quari and AE designed ones then. The one AE designed is typically ironic though. Black 'autechre' in Untilted font on a black shirt, so you can only see it in certain light.

I wish I'd gone ahead and purchased that white on black "Autechre" (Quaristice font) shirt before they went out of stock on Bleep.

In retrospect I wish I picked up the black ae polo shirt.

I also like the minimalistic design of the æ shirts

but I have seen soo many people with black shirts and white aphex logos on warp events it does not look very good as it is kind of too much in face for my taste...
