Stone in Focus will be the song played at my funeral hopefully not soon.

Hah yeah people underestimate Snares versatility no doubt.

gotta admit I actually think the one track you posted there is enjoyable. I tried some of his music but hated it.

are there more VS ambient tunes?

His only ambient album is My Downfall (Original Soundtrack).

He has a few classical/Hungarian tracks on Rossz csillag alatt született that I fancy.

I agree, some of his music is a bit too aggressive for my taste. Particularly his earlier stuff.

However I do like his recent album Detrimentalist, because it's much more structured.

along with loads mentioned here:

Oren Ambarchi

Pete Namlook/Air (not the french band) and his many collabs of which I particularly enjoy 2350 Broadway(Namlook and Tetsu Inoue), fires of ork (Namlook and Geir Jensenn), From Within (Namlook and Richie Hawtin),Shades of Orion(Namlook and Inoue again)..the list goes on and on...

Global Communication

Tetsu Inoue

Uwe Schmidt's ambient stuff

Brian Eno's Apollo is up there... SAWII, Hammock's "Stranded Under Endless Sky" EP, Tim Hecker's Radio Amor, Stars of the Lid and the Refinement of Their Decline

There's also "P" from Cavalcade and "Aaron" from Huge Chrome Cylinder Box Unfolding for his ambient stuff.

Spittal, my refrigerator (that counts damnit)

lol... i remember once a few years ago when one of these threads came up. i simply said "go outside and close your eyes. do you hear that? ambient!"

but seriously. experimedia.net has a great roster that does ambient. also 12k.com.

FSOL: Lifeforms, Environments II, and pretty much everything really

The Orb: Adventures and Terrarum are the only two I really class as ambient

Biosphere: Most of it, but particularly Substrata and Cirque

Spacetime Continuum: Sea Biscuit

Aphex: Both Ambient Works, particularly II

Eno: Ambient 1 and 4

Global Communication: 76:14

KLF: Chill Out

Gas: Zauberberg (never really dug the other three)

Woob: 1194

And a whole heap of other obvious stuff

Also,

Apollyon: Veror Aesik

Encomiast: Espera

Off-Land: Commute

Wintermute: Widescreen

Carbon Based Lifeforms - Hydroponic Garden

And anything of Underworld's that's mellow and chilled, which is a fair bit.
