I kind of believe him when he says he has over 100 hours of unreleased material, the ambient tracks alone are probably 30% of that, considering how long they usually are

I have no problem believing the bit about tons of unreleased material. Most electronic musicians who know their equipment well enough can put together a track in a couple of hours. He probably spends a lot of his free time doing just that (or at least he did before he became a super-perfectionist), & seeing as a lot of his songs go for 5+ minutes, it would add up pretty quickly. Whether most of it is good/significantly different than what has been released is up to debate.
