Autechre Autechre file naming

Just DL'd Oversteps from Bleep.com....No album artwork. U'd think for 9.99 I would've earned some. Even if it is just a big black dot. Also, most of these tracks are undercase. I capitalize EVERY word in my music folder (195 gigs). I feel weird renaming someone else's art. But it's proper for a title....

They had a bunch of tracks on Quaristice that were lowercase... and my Bleep download came with embedded artwork (mp3s of course), a different graphic for each track just like they did for Quaristice.

The only capital letters are the 'T' in 'Treale', the 'O' in 'O=0', the 'Y' in 'krYlon' and the 'Y' in 'Yuop'.

Put them together and you get TOYY which is a reference to their love of underrated artist Latoyya Davis

I have actually thought about this though. I capitalize all words for albums where it's pretty clear that there's no "special" capitalization.

But for this album (as with Quaristice), it's pretty clear that the lower-casing of most of the titles is deliberate, so I left it.

Just Google image search for "Oversteps" and on page 2 there's a huge fucking lush jpeg of the album art that is perfectly square and absolutely ideal for embedding into your huge Apple Lossless files of the album.

i purchased the 24 bit wavs & i have to say i was a little dissapointed that it didn't have any artwork included.

even if you can't technically tag the wav files, how hard would it have been for Warp to just put a folder with the jpegs in with the download? they know we're just going to convert the files for use with our iPods or whatever anyway. :angry:

Or you could just drag and drop the individual mp3 artwork into the wav files (after you convert them to 24 bit lossless files). It takes about a minute if you use iTunes, which apparently is good for something after all.

Agreed. And for once the stuff first scrobbled in last.fm is correct. (I'm talking about how so many things get scrobbled as lowercase because the first idiots that grab leaks and scrobble them always have their shit in all lower case, ruining it for us all! ANGER!)

I bought the WAVs and wonder why they do not sell flac. No metadata, no artwork, nothing comes with the Wavs. ugh.
