Autechre New autechre is more like BoC

Now that I've heard Oversteps I can safely say that I see nothing BoC about it, at all.

At no point have i ever been reminded of boards while listening to oversteps.

People who think this sounds like boc have only listened to Gantz Graf, so when anything sound less aggressively noisy than that, they think it is uncharacteristically mellow autechre.

Listen to Incunabula, Amber, Tri Repetae, and everything else they've done except for gantz graf (and possible draft and untilted) and you'll see that oversteps is far more autechreish than bocish.

Can't believe nobody's mentioned d-sho qub yet, most BOCish track on Oversteps. That same melody played on a warbly synth could easily fit in on MHTRTC.

O=0 actually sounds like Standards-era Tortoise. Other than that, I do not feel too much BoC in Oversteps... it may be melodic but the sounds used are still too "abstract" if that makes sense.

Also, d-sho qub is fucking incredible. I fucking LOVE this track.
