strangely, i agree with you.. though i don't think all guns were designed to kill humans. once you've shot a few trees down with an assault rifle like a PTR-91 or something you'll understand the thrill of it.

oh don't get me wrong, i've shot things before. i did army training for a while. and been poaching down in cornwall....

i think there's a difference between having a rusty old shotgun and collecting and fetishising multiple firearms of the kind that this thread is about.

Handguns have been banned in Chicago for about 30 years now. The Supreme Court is now hearing a case that may well overturn that. If that happens, I'll have a small window in which to purchase the sidearm of my choice before the local government uses loopholes to ban them again.

And yes ( I forgot who said this above ) I do intend to take my carbine and sidearm to Blackwater. They have a training compound 100 miles west of Chicago where they offer carbine and pistol combat training.

The Colt 6920 appears to be a favorite amongst LEO, and the XD40 is a sweet piece of gun metal. I've tried several models in .40 and was most accurate with the Springfield.

I guess I could paint them optic orange to make them more exciting...

I don't know why but for some reason I want a CX4...

Making guns illegal doesn't keep them out of the hands of criminals.

I live in Chicago. Handguns have been banned here for over 30 years. The criminals still have handguns.

Nothing short of implementing Draconian laws such as those found in Singapore (death if you have a firearm or ammunition) will prevent criminals from routinely illegally acquiring and using firearms.
