yes, i liked it. the second to last episode with goodmans character was a bummer. this is how character driven shows should be.

they're definitely focusing on crime this season, i'm surprised it wasn't more of an issue the first season. i'm really curious to see what the eventual plotline is for dallas-based douchebag/contractor guy. and consensus is with annie and davis being together he's a lot more tolerable as a character

the music in the last episode was BUMPIN', and lol @ davis's "hip hop opus"

A-dubs, what was the line that antoine lifted from bunk in the wire?

No shame at all in not getting into Treme. It's like the most blatantly not-trying-to-please-everyone show ever.

I mean it's basically targeted at Wire fans who can take or leave the cop aspect, who like really mellow pacing AND who dig New Orleans music. Pretty narrow group one imagines.

Which makes it all the more awesome that it's been renewed for a third series :emotawesomepm9:

(also the plot in S1 doesn't really kick off until episode 5, so maybe watch another two...)

Yup, second season is quite a bit more interesting, I definitely got addicted to The Wire a lot faster than this but this is a great show and I think it will keep getting more entertaining.

For better or worse it's no doubt the classiest show on television.
