Ya know, on first listen, many parts of this album are reminding me of Dsico (aka Dsico That No-Talent Hack). But better. He hacks up pop songs. Not that I think this is a pop album...though it does have many pop elements which makes me :yeah: .

This is quite enjoyable.

what are the pop elements, do you think?

the more i listen to it the more i think, this isn't some dude in Blackpool, lol

this is at least a few dudes, in various seaside locations across the UK. it's gotta be.

and they've had their fair share of candy floss!

too "funny" and poppy feeling for me at the moment

maybe later

I mean Sunset Everett with proper vocals instead of the chopped up ones is pretty much Lady Gaga isn't it?

Well Sunset Everett, for example.

No need to drag Lady Caca into this, this type of pop vocals has been around much longer than she. And it's fine if done right. Like this. This is the perfect use of pop vocals, IMO.

sunset everett is well sweet in a good way, tho.. imo :)

fuck... compare it to real pop music and it's nothing like it.

listen to sunset everett then listen to cheryl cole.... for eg.

to me it's just years worth of sounds and films and nostalgia compressed into one mad album..

if Aliens came here tomorrow and asked yo what y'all been up to for the last 30 years, i'd play them this. lol

man i could write a ten-page thesis on this shit.

where it's coming from and where it's pointing to.

rrreeallly evocative, hauntological shit.

dripping with context lol.

this sounds like an airplane landing on a minefield

actually this is really glitchy. many parts of it sound like some glitch machine is mining hours worth of audio. some of it has no real melodic cohesion. in other words, it is random short samples playing rhythmically.

i think this has been done before, but not as many are aware. it's like slowed down breakcore - check this track:

also look into the group : Satanicpornocultshop - the track aiff skull.

What's that vocal sample on 'Motions'? Gah.

Everytime I hear it I think "Oh it's..." and then it's gone

shame you don't look like that girl in your avatar....... or you'd know all the most secretest secrets of the world.

i don;'t know what the sample is, tho.. soz. sounds like eurovision 1983 on acid to me.

ask oscillik............. :)

skam vinyl arrived today. no digital download card or anything, but giving it a spin now and it sounds fantastic! the artwork is very nice too, very minimal and lovely.
