the jump from "bedroom" studio experimentation and fun to having to fit the bill for a wider audience and glossier label?

fuck. there's nothing wrong with "bedroom". and a true artist will never make music/art to please other people, i think.

don't wanna sound like an arse, but it's (should be) true.

fuck wider audiences.

but BoC didn't make anything specifically for Skam though, the music had already been made?

but what they'd made already just fit the Skam sound. they didn't make it for anybody inparticular, tho.

i remember hearing BoC actually had sent loads of demos to Rephlex over the years but Richard "didn't think it needed releasing".

but it's a pointless exercise comparing artists

yeah, don;t compare ppl'ss. everyone is 100% different to the next person/band.

no no

what i'm saying is that one track has more in general with Daft Punk than any Skam artists

thanks x

So, anyone feel like making a list of songs on this album and the possible movie/source that was sampled.

i vaguely remember hearing a very small snippet of music from Raising Arizona, i'll listen again and try to find the specific track/time

has anyone got their physical copy of this album yet?

I ordered it a bit over a week ago, and only now have they started sending it.

erm, yes. got the vinyl version on the 4th September.

Damn it, why can I not find this in Norwich? And why did I only just remember that it was already out? Want this album badly now.

have you read the previous pages about the vinyl problem?

glad i got mine from skam before it was noticed as at least i can listen until its sorted.
