Really, you have to just shrug and not take it personally if you don't get a reply. OKCupid did some data analysis that shows that the more 'attractive' females get 25 times more messages than the less 'attractive' ones. Some of them might be getting hundreds of messages every week.

I think its fine for people to simply not respond if they (a) cant think of anything to say (b) just dont feel like responding. otherwise a lot of time is spent saying 'thanks' to people who you don't particularly want to converse with.

Maybe sometimes they think they're gonna reply, but leave it till later, then can't think of anything, and by then they've received 25 more messages.

If you're going to have a go at someone for not responding to you, bear in mind that you might be the 10th guy to do so that day. It really doesn't come across well.

In summary: No response? shrug and move on.

yea. i've learned to shrug it off somewhat. it's just what makes internet stuff lame bc you wouldn't see people flat out ignoring others in person. i guess that would be the double-edged beauty of the internet.

Im trying not to fall in love.

Challenges are actually logistic. I lost my job. have no money. She lives at home. I live in a fucked up situation. We are an hours drive from each other. Life is complicated.
