well chengod, that post of yours explains it all perfectly, and to be honest I am released that people out of spain understand it

yes busquets and alves are cunts

but barça does not do that, not on a regular basis, eventhough real madrid wanted everybody to think that

barça won the trophy, and no matter what mourinho says, they were fair champions

it is very sad that a team like madrid who have won so many times, cannot handle it when barça wins. and the same goes for mourinho, he has been coaching for only 11 years and he has won 20 trophies... but even so, any time he loses it is all due to some paranoical conspiration, he talks as if uefa prosecuted him... then how come he has won so many things?

for madrid barça are divers who enjoy uefa´s favour.. ok

for me, barça is a team with messi, xavi, iniesta, villa, puyol, pique...

yeah there were no refereeing incidents in the final - so refreshing to see two teams actually play.

For me, as good as Messi is - the key to Barcelona is Xavi. Such a great great great midfielder. Pique is another cunt though lol

Xavi absolutely kills it, he is so good. No one can get near him, and his short one touch passes are what release his teammates into space and allow Messi, Iniesta and Pedro to provide such a threat.

Also, Messi

I thought United played pretty well but they had a couple of defensive lapses which were punished, and too many attacking players (valencia and hernandez especially) had quiet/poor games for them to provide a consistent counter-attacking threat. Also Fergie seemed desperate for Rooney to play high up and support Hernandez, however his goal (and United's only shot on target) came when Rooney dropped deep, played two 1-2 passes and then swept the ball into the top corner.

thank you jhonny - you're the first person I've talked to that hasn't said "oh the teams were two totally different classes" blah blah blah.

lol.. Did anybody just watch the AC Milan goal against Barcelona after just 25 seconds. Insane.

I've not really followed Italian football, and so all I've really seen of Pato is some pretty mediocre performances/cameos in the CL, however he is seriously rapid! Messi then showed he has gas too when he went the long way around a fullback with a 2 metre head start!

If pato weren't so goddamned lazy he would be a fucking superstar.

Also what the fuck is wrong with Kieran Gibbs?

Legs like twigs

I was talking more about his mental faculties, but that will do.

Yeah it looked pretty crazy. But to be fair, Barcelona had Busquets and Mascherano as center backs. Don't know what Guardiola was thinking really. Maybe he should have invested in another CB instead of buying both Fabregas and Alexi Sanchez.

I heard that was the only decent match of the last round.

Yeah Napoli v. Bayern was good. That was a ridiculous pen against Napoli.

Arsenal have quietly, and unglamourously, won 5 out of 6 of their last games.

Last night was one of the most unglamourous. Toothless in their half and panicky in our own. We probably did deserve to win though as Marseille put very little effort into scoring in the second half and seemed almost content with 0-0.

Arshavin was poor again. Let his contract run-out, please, Arsene. Walcott was threatening but never really a threat and Van Persie seemed to be passing to an invisible Fabregas for half the night. Rosicky still doesn't do anything for me; I swear he's got a bad attitude and seems to strut about in an attacking-midfield role. Can't deny that he likes to run when we have the ball in the opposition half though.

Andre Santos was very poor, off the pace and making silly judgements, and our sub right-back, Jenkinson, picked up an injury too so as usual we're fucked for injuries in defence.

Still though, an unconvincing performance, but a performance that puts us top of our group nonetheless. It's not all doom and gloom, but we're going to get destroyed by any decent, attack-happy teams this year.
