Sorry borry, he's one of my absolute favorite musicians - but he's too caught up in trying to be "a real" musician. The soul in his music died when he started replacing his brilliant synthriffs with jazzy bass-solos. At least for me. Alright, I won't hate anymore in this thread - out of respect.

Interesting! Come to the US tom!

Seems to have every element of squarepusher track. The organ pads, the bass guitar, the electronic drum machine, It's all just realised in a slightly different way. Liked it.

I do kind of agree with impakt, never liked those jazzy improvs

You know what, I'm a big squarepusher fan and all, but that song is fucking bullshit.

i liked JAS but i havent listened to it in like a year...and this just seems like an expansion of that to something even more cheesy and less funky...still trying to decide whether it has "character"

I'm waiting for the day that Tom's gonna elaborate on the multi-layered 'C-Town Smash' bass style. I really would like him to go all out on the Hendrix style bass playing. With such an expert understanding of sound synthesis I'm wondering why he hasn't gone more far-out. If this is truly a collaboration this may be the perfect vehicle to display that.

i don't like the heavy distortion and the ripping solos, other than that, which there isn't much else, pretty good.
