there was a story once of four young sons of an electrician, known only as the Elecktroids, who welded together a debut album.

they turned out to be two dudes who were called Drexciya.

I got a feeling he's just making the music solo, but will have a band play live with him out.

after watching that video again i'm convinced Tom is secretly a huge dam funk fan, not only does the music sound g-funk influenced but the video is reminiscent of the last 2 dam funk ep covers

Check out Afta-1 for a superior Shobaleader.

dude thanks for this. from what i've heard of it, this stuff is very nice

Guest maantecaaa!!!

The fuck is this shit? Where's the funk? 30 years after Roger and Zapp and hardly anyone can use a vocoder to any funky result? Dam Funk kind of sucks my ass as well.

Wait til I give you my honest opinion.

And that beat  x 100000000.

I have strong reason to believe Tom will once again release the newest material first( Shobaleader One ), followed by whole a solo squarepusher album soon. Remember(Jas Recording 2008, Numbers Lucent first tracks appearing in late 2007, Solo Electric Bass September 2007) Will tell you as soon as i have new information.

All I heard was student weed music. Your going to have to point me in the right direction.

More I listen to Megazine the more I get a hard on for the album. In every style hes ever done, his sense of rhythm and need to make dance music always elevate it beyond the rest of the genre.

Im off to hate on some libertarians, just to carry on the general mood.

been listening to this since this comment, and it's incredibly sweet stuff ^^

but.. not hearing the connection at all.. still though, happy it was brought up cos im enjoying.

Well, I was kind of drunk when I made the reference - but the point was that the cryptic motion track was kind of trying to hit that vocoded g-funk style and failing hard. Afta-1 is of course on a totally different tempo and more of a soulful low down thing.

Any ideas on when this will leak? Im getting anxious to hear the rest of what I'm now expecting to be a bit darker than what we have heard so far :spiteful:

cryptic motion 's good. a bit repeatative and thus stretching it a bit in length, but funky and gorgeous

ps impakt: UFO Sightings is awesome. are you planning another release on breakin'?

i get more excited about this album with each new track that's been released thus far. this latest one has some cool melodies running throughout

apparently, drowned in sound can't make up their mind about the new album's name. shoeblader?? for real? they need to read a little more carefully

agreed, I think this album is going to have a really good flow to it, all the tracks work really well and that 3 track set now on Soundcloud is superb!

Really excited!!! :squarepusher_logo:

Maaaaan !

Didn't expect a track like Into The Blue after Megazine and Cryptic Motion (which I already liked very much) !!! It blew my mind. The most "britpop" song ever made by the pusher ??

WHY DOES BLEEP NOT ACCEPT MY DAMNED MAESTRO CARD ??

The Soundcloud tracks sound really good, Into the Blue is really different from what we heard from Squarepusher, he can do it all, and do it incredibly.
