what do you mean a void? did you try reconnecting?

In my experience, voids correspond to missing chunks. Just deco-reco and the server will (re)send you the missing chunk

I did last night, but I was still ghosting in the void. Tried just now and all of the void is ice now. So yay!

an easy way of getting rid of a chunk error is to just simply post a torch next to it

or change the draw distance a couple of times.
