Yeah, that album cover pretty much out-BoCs BoC.

Besides Geogaddi I never really understood what the big deal was about BOC's album covers.

Silhouettes + Filter + Turquoise = MHTRC, TCH, every fake album cover

Photo(s) = Twoism, BOC Maxima, IABPOITC

Turquoise = Hi Scores, Aquarius, Peel Sessions

Shopped Car Manual = Trans Canada Highway

*ahem*

MHTRTC = family photo from Barmoral Castle, Scotland

Twoism = still from The Killings at Outpost Zeta (1980)

BoC Maxima = Mike and Marcus, somewhere

Hi Scores = Pictures of Julie and Candy

IABPOITC = various video and photo stills, too many to list sources here

Geogaddi = kaleidoscope image

The Campfire Headphase = Personal photo

Trans Canada Highway = altered image from 1977 Dodge Trucks 500/800 series manual

Like I said, not really a bid deal. Not like whatever album art we were talking about earlier. That shit was cool.

I mean, it's cool to see personal photos and stuff, but it's nothing artistically outstanding. In my opinion of course. Please don't hurt me.

Oh garsh guys! I was just on the Music70.com website, and there's a hidden contact button under Discography!!!!11 It leads to a 404 page.

It's not on the boardsofcanada.com or hexagonsun.com website though. So. There's a difference between them.

Nevermind. You have to click News, and then it shows up as the hidden button.

even by Boards of canada standards, the delay seems weird. its all the more strange, that, in 2010, the state of music has kinda transformed into something else. since the 2000s, the music industry has changed a lot. most people do download & are more into tracks/mp3 than album i think. the old fashioned album format is not what it used to be. records dont sells anymore. just check the drones/electronic artists who releases loads of cdrs/live recordings/tapes. even Afx with the analord series has put out loads of material during the 2000s. or like Autechre with the quaristice/quadrange various materials. completely out of this world, Boards of canada still spends loads of time in their studio. its strange.

the last thing MDG said before leaving was:  then he stopped posting here:

digger: I picked up the Family Of God debut album on which the track, also called Family Of God, BoC ripped for From One Source All Things Depend. Exactly identical kids talking about God but longer and with a different backing track. They either lifted it or both took it from the same source, which i doubt. It's 2 cd's of psychedelic folktronica, a combination of Julian Cope, Syd Barrett and downtempo grooves, and could have influenced their career path. Shit, they even look the same as a two piece with beanies! Worth checking out if you're into weird shit.

MDG: from one source both things were sampled

:cisfor:

so count 2 and 2 together and you know why it will never come out :emotawesomepm9:

The internet and pirating is just a phase. BOC is probably waiting for the phase to end before they release they're new album.

they'll be waiting a long time then! and so will we if that's the case. no new BoC album for the next 5 years at least.

at this point, i'm more excited by Com Truise releasing something

Album delayed due to Steve Beckett strangling the BoC dudes in an attempt to SQUEEZE the album outta them.

due to their intense aversion to public scrutiny, they decided to deliver their album by digging a tunnel from their hideout to the warp offices using nothing but a rusty spoon and mag-light.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

- lost cloud

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

-organized confused project

would that be the standard incandescent bulb mag-light or the LED one?

it does make a difference, because they'd have to change batteries sooner and/or bulb if it were the former

I heard they used no lights... only candles. They're OG like that.

This. Besides, I'm a BoC fan but I'm not and have never foamed at the mouth for new releases. Com Truise has been putting out great stuff that is a breath of fresh air (as much as nostalgic music can be) and I'm anxious for a full-length, which WILL come out.
