It has some charms, but I feel like none of the tracks come anywhere near their potential. They all have an interesting atmosphere, but a lot of them need at least 2-3 more ideas and drastically better production to hold a candle to the RDJ album. I can see an arrangement like the Metz track taking them to an entirely new and better place.

the fact he even mentioned melodies from mars make me believe he was talking crap. i don't see him releasing work that wasn't good enough years ago. and remaking old stuff wouldn't be his cuppaT, i guess. ergo: bullshit. i do believe he has work of around 6 albums which he could release, though. and 3 of those might see a release in the next 5 years. but we didn't need an interview to figure that out

he has no albums if there is nothing to sell/buy.

if he broke it down and rebuilt it with hindsight, it could be interesting. he hasn't redone entire tracks, that i know of... maybe he decided to try it for a change of pace.

hell, maybe he could improve unreleased and unheard MFM era tracks, then release those with it
