squarepusher whats up with this misprinted copy of RDJ album?

hey everyone! i just bought a copy of Richard D. James album on vinyl not too long ago. when it arrived i didnt notice right away that the labels on the record didnt match until i looked up the information and it led me to an album released in 2001 by Metope on Areal records.

this record to be exact.

the music is definitely that of Aphex Twin's RDJ album, its just weird that the labels are not the same, and even wierder that the labels are of an album released 5 years after RDJ album.

so ya, i dont really know what else to mention about this album, it looks as though the labels were on from the time the album got pressed.it doesnt look like the original labels were removed and these ones put on, or these ones being put over the original labels.

it also looks like the labels came from the same place manufacturer as warp records, from around the same time. the only album i have to go by is Go Plastic by squarepusher that has the old style of warp labels. the labels that have the two faint circular lines inside that little 1 inch diameter close to the spindle hole, im sorry i dont know how else to describe it, this misprinted record just looks like it came from the same factory at around the same time.

any help in letting me know the origin of this record or if this was a common misprint, or if there is anything else like it, if anyone has seen this etc etc etc

thats strange, it has the rdj sleeve, but the vinyl inside looks to be a different vinyl? But it's not, it has aphex on it? Pretty cool.

Probably due to a time warp. Sell it on ebay for hundreds of dollars.
