His timing is absolutely atrocious, his playing is uninspired and the tune is dull - but I love the way he can't quite force his mouth to smile at the end of the video.

Would pay to see a live bass-off between Tom and this guy.

yeah, he's really good.

but he's under the impression that he is THE BEST in the world at 8 string bass.

and that, despite not hearing any squarepusher, that he is better than him at bass.

his words, not mine.

well theyre both self absorbed musicians...also i am the best at 8 inch penis

Hi all

Thanks for watching the video and providing feed back. Just a couple of things I would like to explain,

to psn.... I have kept the time loose, I felt like when it is perfect it sounds robotic, just a taste preference, I will make the 3rd video more precise.

mcbpete, yeah the hair is pretty stupid, believe me it is not a fashion statement, it is to stop it from getting in my eyes. I will loose it for next time.

Backson..... have we spoken prior to now? If you saw fastest 8 string player in the tags, thats not because I believe it, it is for exposure on youtube, I was not aware that those keywords were visible.

Lucy Faringold, sorry about the timing, the most recent video is not much better, I will make no.3 as close to perfect as I can, just for you.

Caretstik, what do you mean about my arm span?

thingfish, thanks for the input, do you have any of your old music I can listen to, I am curious now...

I have enjoyed all the feedback, feel free to comment on this video too.

Thanks

you're quite good, though i'm not really into technical flair when it comes to guitar playing, so it's not really my thing.

also have you thought of recording these pieces as something other than just solo bass? would be nice with drums, i think. could also tie together a few of the sections that sound a little disjointed (imo)

I've been dreaming of an unimpressed emoticon which reaches through your screen and issues a firm, stiff slap to your face. Until that's invented I reserve judgment.

I think I found your video through another forum.

I posted it here because this is a Squarepusher forum, and Squarepusher himself is a bass virtuoso. I want to know whether you think you'd be able to outplay Squarepusher.

No disrespect, just curious.

Modey, thanks for the compliment. Yeah I have thought of doing it with other instruments, I just have not found the right musicians to work with yet.

Boxing Day, thanks for your input. It is always good to address all parts of the audience. Now I know what the lowest common denominator thinks. I will change my appearance.

Backson, any material I release is almost instantly out dated, I am constantly working on my skills. I assume tom is as well, so I can’t make an accurate judgment on weather I could out play him or not without hearing his most up to date work (what he is writing right now). If I may toot my own horn, I have been playing for 3 years and I have not been out played in 2 and a half years, so I think it would at least be a good showdown.

You got that right.

You have some balls on you, I'll give you that.

You may not, STFU, read the rules, and for god's sake just google Squarepusher already so you can realize the extent of you making a fool of yourself.
