i read this spoiler because i thought that there was a 99% chance of it taking the piss. and i was right, hooray (would have been terrible had i been wrong, dark times indeed.

Disappointing finale, it started strong but it was such a non-event.

1st Episode of season 4 is going to be epic.

I can't hate Tywin, he does a lot of horrible stuff but the guy is a fucking boss.

That was it?! Good to have confirmation on Ramsay being a Bolton, seeing Arya dishing out the pain and Hodor being Hodor, but other than that it was pretty weak for a fucking finale. Daenerys has been the freer of slaves for a whole season now so I didn't get the whole spectacle about the last scene.

Guess I'm off to have withdrawal symptoms for a year now.

agree with the downer finale. the entire dany arch bored me in the books and even more so in the series. the cocky second son who daario slew was the only positive, shame he couldn't have been used more.

Downer finale? I don't think I agree (which is pretty usual...). Perhaps not enough explosions for people expecting that from a finale. The discussion between Tywin and Tyrion was epic, imo. And the conflict before with Joffrey...awesome. Worthy of any finale. And further, lots of accelerating (imo) twists and turns setting the story up for the next season. Just as I'd suspect from a finale...

Mind you, I've still haven't read any letter of the books.

so far the show feels like one long season just randomly split into parts. its kind of frustrating that way but I get what they're doing.

Its not about explosions, that ending was so anti-climatic. I think i felt let down because i expected them to end the season with xxxx xxxxxxxxxx. Everything about the episode was great except for the ending.

Tywin is all cocky now that he won the war, i like that.

I can agree on the cringe worthiness of the final scene with the dragon queen. But I can see some logic in it. It is a transition from a queen on the run, to a queen first accepted by "her" people. It's basically the start of her new rule, right? (again, now idea what's in the books what should have been on screen as well)

it is odd how they always choose to use the penultimate episode to do big shit (ned head,blackwater,red wed) but the finale to kinda set up the next season. odd choice but they seem to keep doing it so it isn't by mistake.

I just watched the latest episode. It was much more satisfying when I knew I still had 20 episodes to watch. Now I am always left wanting more. I'm really happy Arya is starting to fulfill her destiny of being a badass though. Also, happy that we will get to see more of that assassin cause he is cool too.

i keep getting this idea in my head that Daenaerys is going to turn Westeros in to a republican-confederation at the end of the series. Would be fucking funny anyway.
