it was really nice, good construction and materials as you'd expect from COS but it just didn't fit well enough so i took it back. now i'm just wearing my 2-year-old threadbare jacket from river island of all places. some of their outerwear is pretty good but i wouldn't be seen dead in the rest of it. fml.

i also want to punch guys wearing those quilted barbour jackets... it's some kind of faux-rural tory-boy bullshit and it's all over london.

I am in the exact same situation.

They all look the fucking same (peacoats or dufflecoats or TheNorthFace coats) so I'll end up wearing the one I've had last year...and the year before (and maybe even the one before).

why is barbour so popular all of a sudden? country gent meets urban cool? fuck off!!

Looks pretty silly. I've seen some middle-aged women sporting similar coats here, though usually with some sort of pattern on them.

Uniqlo stuff is great value... my (female) housemate got a camel-coloured topcoat from there the other week and it's fabulous, really well-cut. problem is the materials often leave a lot to be desired, but you get what you pay for.

can't see the image. is it a gay peacoat with anchor buttons? cos they're fuckin everywhere aswell.

(side note-Belstaffs are nicer than Barbour in my opinion but really overpriced again this year.)
