It can't possibly get any better. Except for Plum's first post. I don't remember it but I bet it was epic.

penfield foxcroft jacket. it's goose down filled and cosy as fuck!

aye penfield jackets pretty much cover all needs. Got me a cosy penfield hat - seems like good quality that will last.

it was a bit expensive but i'd been looking for so long and this was the only one i liked so thought fuck it. it's the warmest jacket i've ever had and it'll last me years.

I love keltoi's grumpy-old-man threads.

I've no imagination or style, so my Carharrt Anchorage parka will soon be entering its third year of service. Fuck style, it's like walking around in a duvet and is generous to my ample physique:

Yeah, anything I've bought's lasted for yonks as well. After the nuclear holocaust, cockroaches will nest in discarded Carharrt jackets.

has anyone heard of the phenomenon that is the "shacket"? it's a cross between a shirt and a jacket!

Welcome to Canada. I own like 15 of those. I don't consider them shirts or jackets. They're just gear. I've owned them for like 20 years. I've owned them since before i knew i could speak. I didn't know i could speak until i was 12 years old. I've had them since before that. That fucking long.

Yeah, I've owned many of those over the years. Perfect for Florida winters when you don't want to commit to a coat because you know it will be 75 degrees in the afternoon.

I had a Carhartt jacket like that for working/welding/building shit outdoors. Pretty versatile and actually looked nice. I miss it. I should get one that isn't burned to shit and covered in grease.
