It was a great set from start to finish. Started off with some Chris De Burgh and went through some SAW II stuff and he played a really great remix of Vletrmx21. There was also a track off Analord 10 (honestly can't remember which one). Nearly sure that Squarepusher track above is Tundra 4.

Only minor complaint is there was not enough jungle.

Yep Aphex nailed it after that racket from the Battles, started of with beautiful downtempo stuff and kept building it up nicely. I recorded the full set which I will hopefully up on Soundcloud over the next few days, listening back now it doesnt sound too bad at all. Will have to go to my Japanese friend as she has the programme in her computer to convert it to mp3, background noise is a bit noisy as there was a lot of excited people so couldnt be helped, maybe someone on this forum will be able to eq it better, it was an absolute blast. The one mistake was having it open air, as the daylight didnt diminish till about 30 mins till the end of the set so lasers werent truly effective like his marquee shows, but Aphex Twin sign for the rhubarb bears that made an appearance on screen near the end of his set.

Agreed it was a great set.. Afx tunes incl were tha (techno), vordhosbn, death fuck, falling free remix, and from memory klopjob (cf fenix or xmd 5a). He also dropped one of the track he recently played in Singapore, an awesome tune (link below). Anyone ID this? It was a bit of a shame about the sunset vs lasers, but we were loving it up front..can't wait to hear the recordings

This was truly a whopper set. Girth extreme. Wondercum is probably the most appropriate word to describe it. He dropped so many classics, I think I heard Tha, Blue Calx, Falling Free remix, some analord and Deathfuck... Was much more of a crowd pleaser than his Bloc set. Couldn't be more satisfied.

so... did he drop the Manchester or Metz unreleased tracks? Any new stuff?

My recording is fairly good quality, apart from my stupid excited self and my buddies yapping away excitedly etc, anyways its mainly listenable and brilliant. Just one thing, Ive never uploaded a live show before, could I get in serious trouble for this, or is it different rules as regards live recordings not officially released, I need to work out how to sign up to Soundcloud too.

So how do I enable the download? As far as I know it says that I have to be a premium uploader on Soundcloud, this will involve having to pay credit, I have zilch credit on my credit card atm. I thought some of you dudes would have Freecorder which is an add-on you get with the Firefox browser http://www.applian.com/freecorder3/index_downloading.php

Please bare with me this is the first time I have joined Soundcloud, and I felt dodgy enough uploading this only 2 days after the show. Of course if you use Freecorder it means having to listen to the full stream whilst ripping it there and then.

Sweet... sterling work moonweed. Better thatn my recording... i think. We were all off our bins and chattering waaay too much to the heads around us. I'll check the recording later though. Also I was waving the feckin camera around like an idiot so the visuals for youtube would be sub-par too.

- Is this the first time Aphex has played Autechre in a DJ set? About time!!!

- The lady in red is a VVM take on the Chris de Burgh track... I'm pretty sure Aphex played this before in Ireland.

- I dont; think the set was any more special than every otehr set he's played in the last 10 years (all fucking very special!!!). This set still has the same sprinkling of his own tracks. I didn't see any particular favouritidm to the Irish crowd - If anything oxegen 08 was specialler becasue he took snaps of the crowd before he started and the crowd responce to RDJ was massive then - see my keyfumbler recording of that show on youtube.
