None of those tunes are dubstep

Fis-T is most definitely dubstep.

Some of the rest are 2step / half-step tunes (OH NO A DIFFERENT BEAT STRUCTURE).

Ramadanman is definitely dubstep.

This is Aphex playing dubstep (from 27 secs)

Nighthunter is a UK Funky tune, Work Them is more Baltimore-ish, but I don't think you could honestly describe it as dubstep

I thought the set was really dull and he quite clearly had not sound checked cause it sounded awful and the sound system was really good. Dopplereffekt were amazing, completely overshadowed AFX's set.

the show was quite a bit too "untz untz" for my liking (i was KNACKERED after blacking out piss drunk the night before), but i enjoyed hearing him play the final frontier... i can check seeing him live off the list now, at least! now dopplereffekt, that was a perfect show.

afx was terrible. no idea what was going on but the whole 'audio visual' show was a total disaster. sounded like generic trash.

His set was great, the a/v shit was cool, felt like being shrunk down and loaded into richards gameboy. Are you all forgetting the classic aphex trip out drops like when he played the chant from the orgy scene in eyes wide shut? Maybe you wernet fucked enough. From my point of view ( which was right at the front with plenty of space to spaz out, it was sick. Not as epic as his 2009 set but still left me with that feeling of pleasurable terror, sublime.

Bloc was great in general. Alva noto.. boom ting.

fucking lol, agreed the Eyes Wide Shut chanting was probably one of my favourite moments in his set, sublime and dark for sure. Only one shitty track was played tbh (the dead ringer dubstep track but it only lasted two minutes)

his new shit was fucking quality, shit that wasn't his was pretty good too

sound quality was shit??? sounded absolutely fine to me

I mean hell, even the combo of Painjerk and Merzbow at the end didn't really make my ears bleed so the levels were fine (right up at the front).

Dopplereffekt's show was pretty cool (modern day kraftwerk except dressed in black) but I'm not going to lie, I wanted a dance and they didn't give me that at all (not slagging said show off, the sound was top notch, snare was so damn vicious that it felt like someone going "HEY" in my ear at several points - ironically more abrasive than Afx's noise- but most definitely headphone music for sure, rave it was not.)

all in all BLOC kicked my ass in with all the dancing

will definitely attend magic land next year for sure
