AFX at Bloc 2011

Another short clip upped on youtube, theres a 14 minute one Ive spotted but I dont think it features Aphex, Luke I think might be on the end of it, it mostly it consists of dub step, might be Magnetic Man or something, will link in the other Bloc thread to observe the Aphex rule.

New Warp album track or an offcut from drukQs? Personally I'd love it if the whole album was prepared piano.

I didn't recognize many of the tracks he played but I enjoyed it, I left thinking it was probably the weakest set I've seen him play. That full on wubwubwubwwwwwuuuubb dubstep was a bit of a surprise. I remember a few years ago he used to have some quirky slower hiphop at the start and some acidy stuff in the middle and some mad jungle like noisia at the end; he is still sort of doing that but it fell into a few fairly dull sections in between. And calling it an AV set is a bit spurious, the projections added nothing.

personally I don't think it IS Fire is the devil, the sample in that track is normal rate (like Afx's set) but the drums are off. Tbh sounds just like Afx got the actual track from the soundtrack of Eyes Wide Shut and mixed it in with something else :)

hm okay, in fact i DO know "the final frontier", sorry... but that's not the track i was referring to in the video! the one at about 7 mins... first sounds like ambient, then that massive subbass comes in, and then the beat. i need to have it !!! could be new afx but i'm not sure really...

Mostly agree with this... maybe it would have been different if I was right up the front raving with the masses. But I really did enjoy a couple tunes that he dropped, maybe he'll have something more jizzworthy for us at dublin.
