In my opinion, Kid A sits somewhere near the top of the my top 10 personal favourite albums of all time, imo.

Even though I love Radiohead I can understand not liking them and deeming them overhyped. My defense of Kid A would be, yes, it's influenced by a wealth of 90s electronic music and IDM, but they still made a unique and grandiose album and pushed their music forward. It'd be overrated if they just made another OK Computer-ish album with circa 2000 breakbeats and turntable scratching.

When's Thom Yorke's collaboration with Skrillex coming out? He's such a culture thief right guys, always jumping on that popular music and shit.

I'm just gonna go ahead and guess googling "Radiohead - Creep (DUBSTEP REMIX)" would yield such a result

As part of a compilation celebrating the 10 year anniversary of Lex Records, DOOM (the artist formerly known as MF DOOM) has teamed up with Radiohead's Thom Yorke andJonny Greenwood for an as-yet-untitled track. (Maybe this is what they were working onback in March?)

The compilation is called Complex, and also includes contributions from Gruff Rhys' and Boom Bip's Neon Neon project, Boom Bip solo, and Doseone and Fog's Crook&Flail project, among others. It'll be made available digitally on a week-by-week, track-by track basis until mid-January, at which point the whole set will be released on picture disc vinyl.

I think, as joshuatxuk is pointing out with this link, that the collaboration seems to be just one track for the Lex compilation, instead of a full Doom/Yorke album.

They collaborated on their collective embarrassment or something.

I could go for some more Madvillain right about now.

it's really a poor hip hop beat.

luckily from a marketing perspective it doesn't matter what the quality is, because it's made by Thom York and it will sell

more like thom is the bjork of electronic music. a step above madonna and similar ilk, but currently too popular/self absorbed/hung up on popular "experimental" trends to approach anything that might be considered as interesting as earlier efforts. too self conscious.

im sorry that radiohead video with him dancing in the bowler hat did it for me.

I like radiohead... I'm super down with doom! I didn't think it was a worthwhile colab when I first heard about it... I listened to the track... it's ok, but exactly what I expected. pretty meh... would've been better if it were instrumental and if doom took his lyrics and colabed with someone else or made beats himself.

i was not entirely disappointed, rather liked the trac actually. doom is basically best mc right now, more geedora would wet the whistle. i'm not going to jump to conclusions with this doomyorke until I've had a proper listen to the entire release.
