I'm really digging Sleep Walker at the moment, especially their piano playing.

And the Nobukazu Takemura edition of Shibuya Jazz Classics, for more japanese jazz goodness.

This is interesting. Jazz with hip hop beats in background.

You can hear the hip hop beats through the jazz. Kinda cheesy if you ask me.

Jazz with hip-hop beats? Umm not sure if serious - anyways, check jazzmatazz vol 1+2, and a lot of the Red, Hot and....series. Groove Collective, other artists sometimes labeled as "acid jazz".

that's just off the top of my head. I need to get back into jazz, and go all the way. this Jarrett album, and ECM records, has really revitalized my interest.

I saw them (sadly without chris dave:() at the TO jazz festival with Bilal and they were fucking awesome.

I've been thinking of going to see Glasper. He seems to be playing over here quite frequently at various venues.
