I got out just in time, i saw them devil clouds in my rear view mirror.

but the evening i got home i read the news and heard about it and it was pretty surreal. also my bestest friends are in edmonton, so first world success?

on a lighter note there was a picture of the flooded town of High River. It was a picture of tiny-town High River completely flooded, cars up to their wind shields. I laughed because it was a picture of a town under water and the caption was "High River". *goes to hell*

MEAN!

But yeah that's what I said too! If it had low river levels it would be called Low River. lol

I'm glad you got out in time. I'm going to pick up my brother communities across the street from him are being evacuated.

my thoughts are with everyone involved and even though i have a dumbass sense of humour i hope all is well. it seems that lives have been saved through awareness, but that says nothing for the damage that the flooding will cost in the end. talking with a few friends and, again, it's surreal. it rained here yesterday but the creek nearby didn't rise 154 meters.

and godspeed to you and your brother StephenG! Do a backflip when you get home.

Thanks! Thankfully it seems all of my family and most of my friend are un affected by the damage. The river is receding now slowly. Time to start the catastrophe cleanup!

Gin and tonic, bloody marys are for breakfast crazy lady.

Bloody marys are for any time of the day. Anyway, this could sort of count as breakfast, it is morning.

Edited by Sprillian

Agreed for this could count as breakfast, disagree that bloody Marys are for any time.

I've tried having one on a night out and it was gross.

Plus it filled me up so I didn't want anymore to drink. BOOOOO!!!

Don't let anyone in a pub make your bloody mary for you. Always request the ingredients are brought to you at the bar. And none of that Big Tom bollocks.

Have it for dinner! First world problem solved innit.

Making my own drink in a pub? Noooooooo!!! That's what the lazy young scruffbags behind the bar are for.

My cat still shits on the bathroom floor. Except now instead of alternating between the litter box and the floor every 4 shits or so, he just uses the floor exclusively. AND he still tries to bury it. Instincts are stupid.

I can't drink without getting sick anymore. Just started happening one day, doesn't agree with me anymore. Sucks.

Ouch, sorry to hear that man. Good thing you're mostly alright.

When I was 13 a shirt I had hanging over my handlebars got caught in the front tire and flipped me over, then the back wheel with pegs swung around hard and almost smashed my eye in. Ahh I hate remembering that shit.

Ate shit on my bike tonight. My wife got drunk and I was riding my bike to meet her and drive her home. I wasn't going exceedingly fast, but I was approaching a stop light that was turning yellow just at the wrong time. I grabbed my rear brake but was afraid of skidding into the intersection, so I grabbed my front brake (mistake) and flipped over my handle bars.

Luckily, I didn't get cut up. Unfortunately, both of my shins are KILLING me. They are so painful, I was limping. I have them wrapped on ice packs now. I also took 3 ibuprofen.

I know. Not exactly "1st world", but I had to vent and I didn't want to start a thread about it.

( There ya go. My first world problem is I am conflicted. )

Fuck. This fucking hurts so bad.

oh man sorry to hear that... I'm glad you're alive though. Bike accidents tend to be pretty bad. =(

I have a fwp...

I bought my first sports car.... and it's awesome! But it doesn't have an auxillary plugin so I can't plug in my ipod.. I have to use mp3 discs until I can buy a new head unit that has the aux cable.
