Very new to soundcloud, mostly because all works are in progress and mixing is temporary and not to my liking. But anyway, uploaded for the first time a couple of ambient tracks a few days ago, and added some more experimental love today.

 

I don't go on sc enough to really notice if I have new followers. I follow back friends and people I like as well as awesome musicians because I dunno I just see it as a tip of the hat.

Mostly my experience with soundcloud is just uploading stuff

I feel like I really should community it up more but I never seem to get around to it

which is unfortunate because I've heard some amazing stuff on there

see, the problem i have is that once you get a large amout of followers and are following a lot of people on SC it gets to be too much to handle. then i feel like a jerk if i miss someones song that ive been following since the beginning. its kinda hard to manage on soundcloud.

 

Btw. the new Soundcloud design/features are great.

Thanks a lot, man. I will probably release an Aperture album at one point, but I have absolutely no idea when. But I want to release a proper release and not some netlabel or bandcamp stuff. I started the project nearly 2 years ago and so far I've made 14 tracks but I only really like 3 of them... sooooooo... it'll probably be 4 more years, haha

Well, these things are worth taking time over and a fully realised release with nice art and stuff would be awesome!

i went through the entire WATMM contributors list and folowed everyone and only like 4 people followed me back

This is going to sound really dick-ish and I apologize on beforehand, but you don't have any tunes on your Soundcloud account so why would people follow you?

that said i am trying to get at least a track up but i dont want it to sound all half ass

i think maybe most of the people who post their stuff in this forum are always busy working on their own projects, and when they aren't they are listening to music that is 'proven' to them to be something that they will like, such as aphex/ae/pusher etc. there are also other types of hobbies that come into play and things like reading etc. i really intend to check out more stuff here at some point but free time can be hard to come by... i think the same thing is true of everyone. so i dont expect tons of people to listen to my stuff, or really care much if i get followed.

 

any good stuff i find here that i can really enjoy, and if even just one person likes my stuff that way, that's worth posting and checking the place out whenever i can.
