Also I'm only just now getting around to listening to Clams Casino & some of it is totally making me lose my poop.

Modern electronic music is like if you had a few giant poop monsters from the 1970s-2000 & all of a sudden a bunch of little poop monsters from the 2010s with laptops started eating them & pooping out littler poop monsters which started to eat them & repeating the process, & some people might argue this leads to over-saturation & diminishing returns, but if you're the kind of person who tends to just unconditionally love poop monsters now may well be the best time to be in the business of liking poop monsters because of sheer volume

poop monsters is a metaphor for beep boop music

Whenever I listen to it stoned, Actress' new album R.I.P. just blows me away like nothing else, but even sober it really has some kinda quality to it that I can't put my finger on.

Trust me, I've sent PMs and emails to anyone who might be able to answer that... nothing but Radio Silence.

Bogdan blew me away circa 98-99 because I didn't think anyone could out weird Richard.

Bogdan captures the anger, glee, perversion of being an awkward teen to me. So great.

new Boards of Canada album

that scandalous 40+ minute deleted youtube clip had me scraping my jaw off the fucking floor. After skimming bits of it for only 3 or 4 minutes.

Yeah man, that album really struck a chord for me. I got the other release on tape and on clear vinyl as an xmas gift. Part of the reason I started collecting new cassette releases as well.

I'm hardly a closed minded nun. Remember, I'm on a fucking IDM forum.... an IDM forum.. Think about that for a second before claiming people are closed minded nuns.

New Future Image album, Definite Complex, out now!

Future Image Definite Complex
Intelligent Dasein Sound Experiments #1
papertiger harmonizing the seams
P/R/P/E The Speed of Revolution
William S. Braintree This is Story

Kaleid Machines

Two spring to mind:-

1) Robert Rich/Ian Boddy - React

An incredible ambient electronic album. At times dark and dense, in others uplifting. The best new album I've heard in years.

2) Ulrich Schnauss - Far Away Trains

How this gem had escaped my attention for 10 years I do not know :emb:.

The new Boards of Canada album will be added to this list in approximately a week's time .
