pretty much most of the stuff i've heard on Subjex's label has dropped my jaw, even just by a little. IDM is back y'all whether your wonky, footwork, dubstep, garage, retro fetishistic hauntology obsessions have subsided or not.

Great artist and hardly known at all. m0ths is a really solid release. Also by any chance are you "Jurmainson" on last.fm?

The new Lone is absolutely blowing my mind.

I believe he's talking about this http://www.discogs.com/label/In+Vitro+Records

Schematic is also good, of course. although I have to confess that they were more mind-blowing in the late 90s/early 00s than they are now (although with a few great releases like the phoenecia albums, and the subjex album)

Yes

I recently discovered Mush Records. I've known of them for a while (cLOUDDEAD, Busdriver) but they have a lot of great artists. I recommend subscribing to their mailing list, because you get a free compilation highlighting the last 10 years. Then go from there.

I'm thinking about another one run by Subjex and more proactive:

As for recent electronic music I find outstanding, I would call latest stuff by Dalglish, Grischa Lichtenberger (Graviton) and Felix Kubin's electro-acoustic record Echohaus which is something not typical of him. I certainly don't think of current situation as critical. For example, here is what Mouse on Mars veterans said in interview

Andi Toma: The people around us are making the music we've always wanted to make. There's so much good stuff. I don't remember a time when so much good electronic music was produced.

Jan St. Werner: Yeah, never.

Andi Toma: Everyone says, "Yeah, the '90s [was the best electronic music period]," but it's the peak now. Now, I can stop making music, because there's so much good stuff coming out.

So it's not like the end of the world.

Agreed about dalglish, and those others sound interesting too. I think at any time if you spend enough time looking you will come across great new music. I also suspect that the internet is playing a role in homogenizing sound to an extent, which is unfortunate, but the truly great artists will always find original paths

oh yes this is awesome just added all of these on spotify and now I will have quite some fun for some time lol

I would like to mention a few artists who in my opinion definitely deserve more recognition.

Not sure if this guy is known here on WATMM or not - this is his myspace page: http://www.myspace.c...ironproductions

I've stumbled upon his myspace page years ago, when I was regularly checking out different myspace artists's pages, and this guy until this very day stood out among all of them, in terms of music quality. Track1 and Submissions are absolutely brilliant, such an incredible production.

Also, this guy: http://www.last.fm/music/Nick+Thomadis

His album Space Horde can be downloaded for free here: http://www.last.fm/m...orde" (Old Mix)

It's really great.

Aside from those two, I'd also like to mention Locum76's I Belong On Terra Firma album:

http://www.emusic.com/listen/#/album/-/-/11212854/?AID=10364616&PID=2519517&SID=001929023bed54727f03f2dad71fecd0. Greatest track from that album for me is Dot4.

Finally, there's this: http://www.norbumusic.com/norbu02.html

Great minimal techno/ambient available for free download.
