sort of old but Shadow Dancer - Golden Traxe has been a favorite since it came out. There is not one bad song on the album, each one is full of amazing edits and effects all over the place. Kind of mainstreamy electro-housey but so fucking good. very aphexy.

I kinda like extreme sidechain compression when used correctly though.

Ha, thanks Troon. I guess I was supposed to search with that dotted "o"... not even sure how to get that character.

On a pair of nice cans this track is effing great. I can only imagine hearing it on a huge live pa.

If you use a mac, you hold option, then hit 'u' and then 'o.'

The SND FACT mix that some fine getleman here uploaded. Its the kind of music I've been looking for but never found. sounds like what I'd picture a long sweaty jungle seance on yagé being like.

My jaw dropped when I heard Leyland Kirby's Video 2000, but it was more because I didn't expect it after the long piano of the previous album.

TOBACCO continues to make me very happy though.

Edit: I also pooped a dook when I heard Clark's Throttle Clarence on good speakers. Wicked Life is fantastic.

Edit: Some of Kid Koala's live videos on the youtube are pretty amazing as well.

Edit: Hell yea, Jules, Lorn kicks ass too. He has some pretty dismal grime.

Last Edit, for real this time: Son Lux's first album was good too. Too bad the new one sounds like Disney music.

strange things happen when you say stromboli, but really, it was much much more then that

Music that dropped your jaw is a big word.... I guess the last music that really hit me was Tim Hecker's "An Imaginary Country". Fuck, somewhere near the end, he does something like taking all the sounds that you listened to before in a completly different room.... like a backward bungee-jump or something. Holy shit! It's even impossible to put it in words... well, I was pretty pretty high on ketamine while listening to this so I should do a proper listen to hear what's really going on... But I'm sure it was not only the ketamine dropping my jar :spiteful:

Anyway this thread is gold, thanks for a lot of good music that was formerly unknown to me :emotawesomepm9:

yeah hecker and met do mix well. I'll never forget last years ATP when he was blasting out on a big pa last thing Sunday night i was melting into carpet feeling all the bass rumbles, fucking amazing

Uhh and I forgot to mention how amazing it would be to have the posisibility to explore Clark again like I never heard anything from him. Exploring him is such an amazing time...
