I also liked pissflaps posts because i also happen to agree with a lot of things he claims.

Of course, you can think if people defend a position on a similar way both are the same,

actually it didn't have to do with you guys agreeing on any subject, it literally had to do with what seemed like an accidental post you made while logged into rotchnock instead of the pissflaps account

i could be 100% wrong of course, i just found it extremely coincidental you used almost one of the same phrases he did about garage band loops with similar grammar

Finally put my 12" on the turntable today, and I think I win the award for most warped copy. It's really bad. Not quite enough to toss the tonearm off the record but pretty damn close. I got it from Boomkat-- anyone deal with them on something like this before? I'm a little loath to mail it back to them, as shipping from the states will cost nearly as much as the 12" did in the first place. Hopefully they just send me another copy.

Slightly related... I remember when I pre-ordered a clear vinyl copy of Genghis Tron's "Dead Mountain Mouth". I was living in a shitty old apartment building in Brooklyn and the postal worker would just leave all of the building's packages on the radiator in the foyer. It was winter and that record practically melted. I wuz pissed.

ok guys it's been long enough. most of you have never heard any of my music before and I've been curating this alias for the better part of a decade now. it's time...

I'm steinvord.

wtf, that's bizarre. there are so many different types of packages that would be ruined by that. I love the USPS, but that guy is a huge asshole.

Yeah. There were always people's prescription meds on the radiator. I'm sure that can't be too good.

After leaving my record on the turntable for about a week straight it has flattened out quite a bit.

I'm going to have to try this method, mine arrived this morning warped to hell. I've never seen such a beat up package from boomkat before.

Are you kidding? Back in the days I've left records on the turntable with some extra weights (for instance when you have those soup bole-shaped vinyls) to no avail.

For crying out loud.

The problem there is that the tracks have been modfiied since they were put on MySpace, so that means Tom or Richard would have had to taken the time to change them and that seems highly unlikely.

mine arrived today.

it's kinda warped as well.

and the surface is kinda scratched, as if there was any friction from the dust jacket it was in. it's not skipping but at the end of side a it makes this pop pop pop sound every record.

other observations - it's surprisingly light.

sounds fucking great, though. love this ep.

I don' tthink it would take much time for them to change them. They're experts after all?

Nah, you're a wee child who can't wait for official release. Embarrassing. Shove your privilege.

in store vd? stored in v? vine trods?

anyway, my copy came in last weak. not seeing any warping in the vinyl. I have not actually listened to the record yet (other than digitally). When I slipped it out of its cover, though, I did notice surface scratches where there shouldn't be any. Hope it doesn't affect playback. Thoroughly enjoying the release otherwise.
