correct me if i'm wrong, but the most successful pedophiles are ones who convince the child it's not wrong and they are willing participants.

i wanna see this but i'm worried that it will further deprave my innocence :(

flol i love the subtle acting how he busts in to tell him to put his shoes on. it's just so awkward I want to turn away but can't

i thought it was really well done, the full thing is free to watch on Vimeo. It only suffers from 3rd act syndrome a little bit but otherwise it's surprisingly good. They don't really show much of anything as far as rape or molesting but the disturbingness is conveyed very well through the film

The sound design for the trailers kind of gives off a horror movie vibe...

How would you measure success in pedophilia? Number of victims, ability to avoid getting arrested, overall level of "creepy"?

I see it as an mental illness rather than an activity at which you succeed or not, hence my question. If what awepittance meant by success is what turns pedophiles on, that may depend on the victim's cooperation, or it may feed off the complete opposite.

(sorry about the double-post, I felt I should explain better and I wasn't able to edit my previous post)

he tells you exactly what he meant...

therefore don't get reported/caught and keep on doing what they're doing.

the important thing here is not to confuse OMGWTFLOL SON BUMMING HIS DAD with WOW THAT WAS A GOOD FILM

a crude analogy would be thinking Venetian Snares' "Coughing up the semen of a rapist" to be great music because it has samples of a horse's cock being amputated layered over amens and gabba kicks randomly sequenced in 11/8

i think they mean in the criminal sense. the problem is that pedophilia is only treated in the context of being a criminal in our society, which leads to pedophiles refusing to seek help and, inevitably, committing some crime against a child. this column by dan savage really changed my outlook, because i used to think that pedophiles were just scum that deserved to die: http://www.philadelphiaweekly.com/news-and-opinion/savage-love/Lets-Say-Im-A-Pedophile-83404047.html

Pedophiles can criminally get away with what they do by convincing children that it's normal, but they can also do that through intimidation or confusing children as to what happened. Pedophiles that avoid prison by "raising" others to become pedophiles are only a portion.

I agree with you that there is a demonization of pedophiles which works against them looking for help, it's really easy to hate a pedophile and want him dead without trying to understand how and why he does what he does. But I don't really agree with the article's notion that there are good and bad pedophiles. Pedophilia (at least as it is defined here) is a condition that causes discomfort and pain if not realized, it's not just a sexual orientation - pedophiles don't sit at the beach casually looking at children, they have uncomfortable urges to act even if they never do (that's one of the main differences between a paraphilia and a sexual fetish). It's hard to say a pedophile is of a good or bad kind, in the same sense that it's hard to say if a schizophrenic is good or bad. They're people who need serious help to keep themselves from committing a horrible crime.
