And that is what basically what science is, admitting how stupid we are and how little we know and starts figuring things out based on what we know and what we can observe. Not knowing a thing does not allow us to come up with anything and run with that, that would be really stupid.

I feel it. I know on watmm no one wants to hear it, but it seems to me that the underpinnings of normalcy (in my opinion, a larger sense of 'what' things are, contexts, perhaps 'societal metanarratives') are becoming harder to prove, in most countries, from what I can see.

The cultural mindsets synthesized by post-industrial nations are falling apart at the base, revealing an alienated world, where people who previously thought themselves free agents in free nations are having their worlds doused with acid, corroding away the countries they thought were real, revealing the massive bare bones of a much larger beast...
