Neither is honesty. My cat's as honest as they come, albeit very manipulative.

Open-mindedness is probably one of the most important.

Curiosity, which might be the same thing.

Self-respect/self confidence, I hate having to remind people of how much they're worth but I continually do it anyway.

Honesty and one-faced (if that's a thing) people who don't change around other people. That really fucking annoys me.

None of that is true. Humans inhabit about 2% of the Earth's surface area. Area that has been altered in some fashion by humans is estimated to be about 30-40% (that doesn't mean destroyed, it means altered.)

There have been much larger extinction events than the minor one we are undergoing now. Extinction events are necessary in evolution. Mammals came to dominate the landscape as a result of the last major extinction event - that happened 65 million years ago (long before modern humans came to dominate the earth).

What do you mean by decent society? I've lived in a bumch of different societies, some better than others, most of them decent.

Now, certainly we as humans have had some impact on the earth, but it is precisely our dominance that means we have a responsibility not to say "fuck it" but to improve our understanding of our impact on the environment and use our giant frontal lobes to fix the problems.
