It does seem as if this has had a few threads last year, yet I personally think it needs another revival.

Here's two of my favorites right now.

The soundtrack for 'Limbo' by Martin Stig Andersen.'

It has a very Tim Hecker-esque feel to it, yet a lot calmer and more tranquil. In my opinion it's one of the most fitting soundtracks to a videogame ever. Seriously. Ever. But since the game itself is rather short, so is the soundtrack, which is a damn shame. I would have loved to have a physical release of the album included extended versions and extras.

There's a video floating around somewhere (might be on Andersen's own personal website) where you can watch him work with the soundtrack, running drones through large, odd tape machines and stuff. Quite interesting.

Another is for the game 'Eufloria' with music by Millieu.

There was a very limited pressing of physical copies of it, with a runtime of about 2 hours and 35 minutes, it's quite the minimalistic beast. One of my favorites of the 'theme' to the game, 'Euflorian', which is just... Chill.

Bubsy's Desert Zone (plays after stopping the train on levels 7, 8, or 9; Genesis version only), the first level after the first boss in Tiny Toon Buster's Hidden Treasure, and Final Fantasy 6's first world map music (the bass rhythm is especially good). In fact, almost the entire audio collection of Tiny Toon Buster's Hidden Treasure is the kind of style I like, especially the first half of the game.

btw the last track on the limbo soundtrack is amazing. the whole thing is great, but that one - especially in the game is very good.

Man, remember when LucasArts used to be awesome? It used to be that every single game they put out was fucking awesome.

World of Warcraft and all it's exp. have pretty epic music. I love all of them. You should try them.

Also, I used to like 007: The World is Not Enough for the PSX/One:

This one is my favorite ^^

Oh my, nostalgia indeed.

But I really dig those industrial type sounds in there. Never noticed how great that theme was.
