currently the odd food porn show, which are deliberately watched when a chef sibling calls round & where the recipes are a bit tricky

default action equates to "oh thats a piece of piss, i can do that tonight...."

1 hour later, food of the gods

tv has its uses & my own inability to do transcendental sauces/stocks justifies such cynical & icy manipulation

I guess this is more promising than WWZ2. Looks like he's directing the whole season at least.

the sinner s01e01 - this well produced mystery-crime-drama-tv thing is looking more like a factory product than some artistic creation with every iteration. those overly labored over lush shots and score, brutal violence, brilliant but messed up detectives who see the real truth behind things, fit naked butts, dramatic snot, heavily fucked up and jesused family history and so on. it all just feels very on rails and focused grouped, it's hard to be immersed in something like that.

started with silicon valley, it's pretty neat to have a deece show go under your radar for some reason and remember it much later when you have a good bunch of episodes to watch. it's really funny but it actually doesn't feel very mike judge to me, in his past work he often invoked this sort of deeply weird and somewhat dark and uncomfortable, rather than this cutesy and fast paced, awkwardness and discomfort, like the probably autistic and tragic milton charachter in office space and the overlong beavis and butthead "uh huh huh"s, this one feels way more cheery-o and light. but it's fun anyway.

The 100 - How in the fuck is this show 88% on RT, it's terrible.

Stoked to watch OA II. The movement thing never bothered me, anyone familiar with Druidic studies will recognize the importance of movement to get to higher planes.

Oh darn, my mates said it was good.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

It tries really hard to be the next BB but forgets about what made that show great - escalation, multiple plotlines that interact or culminate, character development

In Ozark a whole buncha shit happens but none of it really comes together, the characters never really change, there is escalation but not a lot of it. I wouldn't say it's terrible (RT shows it being panned by critics at 64%, I'd say it's at least 70%), it does tension really well and Bateman does a really great job as Marty I think... it's just not that exciting.

Also like half the scenes have this really cold saturation on them, makes it look drab all the time

^yes, just watched it through (almost all of it) last year before Netflix took it off. Very weird and fun, particularly the first two seasons.

right? also because of the stellar puppetry it actually holds up visually really well, as opposed to like Babylon 5 whose Amiga CGI has aged like refined dogshit (I still love you B5 don't worry)

Holy sheepshit, that is going to send shockwaves through the world of TV. Thank fuck you came here to post that. Only problem is that article doesn't go into enough depth, you need to check out IGN for the latest breaking TV stories, copy the link and paste it in this thread....shit, you could be your own little anchorman. You'll sleep well knowing that you're making a difference.
