Holy sheepshit, that is going to send shockwaves through the world of TV. Thank fuck you came here to post that. Only problem is that article doesn't go into enough depth, you need to check out IGN for the latest breaking TV stories, copy the link and paste it in this thread....shit, you could be your own little anchorman. You'll sleep well knowing that you're making a difference.

Better Call Saul season 3 was well done and Michael Mckean is a great actor but, like, when's he gonna be Saul

Orphan Black - Another critically acclaimed show that I just do not get. Boring writing, bad acting (I can just about forgive the lead actress since she has to juggle like 6+ roles), generally just dull to watch despite an interesting premise.

Just started Broadchurch and I like it a lot after two eps

the UK churns out dreary crime dramas but Broadchurch really set the bar

Stoked to watch OA II. The movement thing never bothered me, anyone familiar with Druidic studies will recognize the importance of movement to get to higher planes.

not sure what to think of the new Rick & Morty...

seems more muni thrown at it, fancy guest voices, better animation etc, but also more predictable somehow.. liked Morty's muscle memory arm thing but otherwise not many lols this season so far tbqh.

GOT is ok I guess...? It's a pretty dumb show and everything

Twin Peaks. Such a terrible show.

When I think of the first two season a nice couch comes to mind. This new season resembles a metal folding chair.

The Handmaid’s Tale - I put off because I dig the novel so much, but the first two eps are v impressive. Only complaint is its use of pop songs over the closing credits. This is a prestige tv staple now, but no one’s really done it as consistently well as The Sopranos (or Mad Men).

Edit - The end of the season has left me with the feeling this is going to abandon the novel for boring and generic 2010s dystopia tropes.

I think it's gonna fall together pretty soon, the side plot with Mike is an indicator of that as well.

I wouldn't be shocked if it's just another 2 seasons.

Been watching docs about NASA's older missions. There is one called "The Last Man On the Moon" that's pretty good. The archive footage they used is gorgeous.

The first happy valley was good

Twin peaks is just bizarre in every way

Like me trying to act

Kind of high school level acting on purpose

Ducktales 2017 - flashback to my childhood. Very clean hand drawn lines.

Also, the first few new eps of Curb Your Enthusiasm have leaked online, for any super Larry David fans that can't wait til Oct.

what in god's name were you expecting?

yeah i dunno, some kind of alchemy where one element makes the rest of them not shit i guess. season 1 of daredevil was fine from what i remember. i liked the setting, mood and the atmosphere most, it was dark and noirish but also somehow homely. the rest of them were all shit though, i didn't even bother with that fist one.

defenders is indeed pretty shit, the characters all turned into cardboard cutouts of their original versions from previous shows for some reason. so much cringey dialog, really lacking in subtlety. still has really good fight choreography and a decent soundtrack, but that's about it. the overall story is also pretty lame. I liked the first Daredevil and Luke Cage (aside from Diamondback, who was the hammiest actor I've seen in a long time).

^yes, just watched it through (almost all of it) last year before Netflix took it off. Very weird and fun, particularly the first two seasons.

I never saw that but remember Lexx? I kinda want to watch that properly, I only ever saw random episodes on tv late at night, looked like the weirdest shit.

Lexx_crew_002.jpg

I used to watch Lexx as often as I could catch it. In part because it was hella weird sci fi but also because the lady was very attractive to my 17 year old eyes.

Couldn't tell you anything about the show off the top of my head though, it's been over a decade at least since I've seen it. The emo looking dude was dead or something, and I think the other guy was a robot or something? Fuck if I know.

lol lexx. I also remember watching snippets of that show on late night tv (not even sure if I ever watched an entire episode), primarily because of the bird with the blue hair and the tits, she was replaced with another actress in the 2nd season or something. I also can't remember much about the plot either, was there some kind of insect aliens?

I am Kai, last of the Brunnen-G. Millennia ago, the Brunnen-G led humanity to victory in the war against the insect civilization. The Time Prophet predicted that I would be the one to destroy the divine order in the league of the 20,000 planets. Someday that will happen, but not today. Because today is my day of death. The day our story begins. A cowardly security guard, an undead assassin, a female with a body designed for sex and a robot head madly in love with her all make up the crew of the spaceship Lexx, the most powerful weapon in the two universes.

Bio-engineered, the spacecraft Lexx is a powerful weapon which is capable of destroying a planet with ease. Grown in The Cluster under the rule of His Shadow, Lexx is stolen by fugitives security guard Stanley Tweedle, the love slaves Zev and Kai, the last of the Brunneng and the one man prophesied to destroy His Shadow's order. Running from The Cluster and the wrath of His Shadow, the fugitives take Lexx through the fractal core to the Dark Zone, a universe of evil and chaos. Now they are looking for a new home...
