Watched the first episode of Lore, won't happen again. Worst voiceover/narration in television history, amongst other things I strongly disliked.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Really into Dark Matter. Can't decide whether it's bad and don't care.

It's definitely B-grade TV and that much better for it. It knows its place and has a wild amount of fun with itself. Broke my heart when it got cancelled.

The guy who played Jim Lahey in TPB died :(

Stoked to watch OA II. The movement thing never bothered me, anyone familiar with Druidic studies will recognize the importance of movement to get to higher planes.

Nobody did drunk like John. Gonna be pouring some out for Mr. Lahey.

also, he qualifies for Celebrity Death Thread.

Thanks user487363530. And user4873635301. Now 48736353001.

Watched s7e1 of Walking Dead last night, the torturous baseball bat head slamming episode.

Was kinda grim really, not an enjoyable watch.

Then watched episode 2 which was pretty crappy (lol CGI tiger)

Then as most people have said, im guessing the series goes further downhill but I might keep watching it as I need something mindless atm.

Apparently he was teetotal too, absolutely nailed the act

And yeah forgot about that thread, looks like someone already posted about it. :(

Finished Mindhunter, the last few episodes were kind of a letdown but I still loved the show. The main character is annoying and probably the weakest actor other than the girlfriend. Still, hope there is a season 2. All of the serial killer interviews were the best parts of the show

Fincher love that 70s shit and murderers...and massive block capital location titles...and browns...

I'm entertained.

Mindhunter is pretty good yeah, I even liked the first episode (bar one or two clunky scenes in Quantico at the start). really dumb name for a show though, sounds like the name of a show by the Garth Marenghi guys (it's about a private eye who solves crimes with his telekinetic/telepathic powers). I hope the plot gets a bit more exciting though, just a lot of talking so far. The co-ed killer actor is great though.

It's been green lighted for a second season already, scheduled for release 2018.

Mild-spoilers ahead?

I thought the last episode reached some near-Breaking Bad levels of tension, even though I saw something like what happened coming. Apparently I didn't find Holden, the main character, as annoying as most everyone else. I mean, I'm sure the high levels of the FBI attract anal, know-it-all, near-sociopathic people. And that's something the show is obviously getting at too. When you hunt monsters, be careful not to become one and all that.

yeah I like the main guy the show is knowingly casting him as a hardy boy and the dialogue is more believable coming from him rather than some grizzled detective.

His name is holden ford....terrible

First episode bar scene wirh girl was clunky as hell...but it's for better

Yes, well said. I tried to get into Firefly a while back and it never quite gelled for me and this is in a similar vein but very enjoyable. Too bad it got cancelled.

I'm enjoying Mindhunter too but I'm only 3 episodes in.

Finished Big Little Lies last night on HBO. Just 7 episodes so it's an easy one to binge watch or take a chance on over a few nights.

Hard to care in any way about a bunch of super rich twats.

Yeah if it involves murder and mystery who fucking cares.(one of the "twats" isn't rich at all btw, in fact the class issue thing is brought up a lot) It's not season 1 of Girls FFS, and besides the rich bitch characters are to add catfight drama fluff. Hell I'm pretty sure they just wanted an excuse to film in and around Monterrey.

I'll gladly rail against subtle upper middle class fantasy bullshit that spews out of most sitcoms (Modern Family for example) but c'mon dude, that's a ridiculous reason to not check out a miniseries. That's like saying I'm not going to watch the Sopranos or The Wire because it's "hard to care about criminals"

It's not my reason not to watch

Just didn't care or empathise with any of the characters

Nobody was in anyway endearing

Their narcissism just made it unwatchable for me

I'd guess that without the huge stars it wouldn't have got any views. Made me think of trashy dynasty Dallas days of out lives soaps carried solely by stardom.

Just watched all of Freaks & Geeks again, forgot how good this show was / how awful Neal was, but overall just an incredible exploration of the American public high school experience that goes out of its way to humanize even its most tertiary characters. Gut-bustingly funny to boot. Wish any of these guys' later works were as good (including Apatow, ugh).

Nah, people watch that stuff still, practically forms like half of Bravo TV's programming.

I get where you are coming from in terms of apathy though, fair enough.

it wasn't really that at all but ok.
