In 23 days starts the new Rick & Morty season. I really hope they find back to their old glamour from previous seasons. The last one was pretty forgettable

That's an excellent point. I have no fucking idea really what was going on either apart from people screaming and swearing at each other. The first two episodes are a complete garbled mess. In fact to be honest, so is the rest of the fucking show. Just, yelling, swearing, stress.

Jeff I may fucking bin this.

Some shows are slow burners, Ozark for example I was constantly in doubt during the first and maybe some of the second season (why am I watching this, why am I watching this, oh its pretty good, why am I watching this, oh its pretty good) then its one of the best. And it takes off.

I'm watching season 2 right now (on the penultimate episode) and it's really become one of the best shows I've ever seen. There's a ton of character development this season and it all feels really earned. It actually becomes a surprisingly optimistic series. It's made me cry several times, and I cry pretty easily but the emotion feels earned, I don't think I've seen another show so emotionally honest. It's kind of a masterpiece IMO

afaik i usually place all my cum drops on scientifically sterilized glass slides which are carefully frozen and placed in trash cans throughout the city labelled "for women ❤️ alco" with my social security and phone numbers.

No doubt I'm gonna finish The Bear off. Season 1 done now.

Andor in the meantime is a classic. It literally takes off from episode 4 and gets better and better. Think I'm on episode 9 now. Quite astonishing how it improves so much tbh. There seems to be a lot of messages in this about modern day working life and capatilism which we have to endure on Earth. I'm sitting watching it and thinking how things are now since the 90's and how The Empire is litreally how my company is now since being privatised. But I'm not very good articulating these things (political) into words.

Just started watching the original miniseries of The Stand.

I read the uncut version of the book a couple months ago and it was amazing so I did some research as to which adaptation was “better” and settled on this one. I think the clinker was that this version’s Mother Abigail was supposed to be 106 instead of Whoopi Goldberg. So far, there’s a lot of stuff that is pretty faithful to the book but it obviously flies through everything super fast.
The cast is half good and half ridiculous. The director definitely leans hokey on tons of secondary characters. It’s really frustrating at times because it feels like there’s a conscious avoidance of any real dramatic moments. The lighting and cinematography is pretty poor. I wonder if they were super stretched for the budget, seeing as this was the early 90s and TV hadn’t become what it is now. Some of it is downright unforgivable. It also confirms my feelings on how Rob Lowe is not a very good dramatic actor (great at comedy tho).  Molly Ringwald seems miscast as Frannie and they give her pointlessly skimpy outfits. Also, it’s weird that Harold isn’t fat but I see why they didn’t want to have to deal with an actor losing a bunch of weight.
I’m really hoping that this gets better but the bottom line is read the book… pretty much any adaptation of a classic work of literature is going to be a disappointment.

Classic book. Keep thinking to read it again, thirty years after I read the original. I'd forgotten King had released an Uncut version.

Just finished s2 of Foundation. Really good, way better than s1. Still a lot going on so will rewatch.

nice have to check this one as well

Finishing up Copenhagen Cowboy (netflix), best thing by Nicolay Winding Refn in forever, pretty banging soundtrack as well, even if they rip off that opening tune from the shining. Gangsters, violence, unpleasant stuff, long neon drenched takes, some fairytale elements and night shots. This is tickling my balls in just the right places.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.
