Netflix is putting together a series based on Wet Hot American Summer. That movie is hilarious and it looks like most of the original cast are signing on. This should be good

watched the miniseries and the first season of battlestar galactica. it was mostly crap and looked awful on blu ray, don't think i'll bother continuing. is this supposed to be the best space opera ever made or something?

S1 is the show's peak, so you're probably making the right decision.

I watched the first episode of Deadwood but I realize I'm going to have to watch it over since i lost track of it already. It seems gnar so far and they say cocksucker a lot.

No not really, first season was pretty meh all round I thought. Maybe it'll do a Hannibal and knock it out of the park with season two though - has potential but I doubt it

I liked everything in S1 except the quick death of Mr Proteus (Frankenstein's Monster No. 1) it was such a fresh interpretation of Shelley's tale, but they seem to love killing off characters in the last min or two of episodes.

I liked the first two episodes. The third one lost some steam. And yes, Atwell is charming.

Watched the pilot for the Amazon series, The Man in the High Castle. Looked interesting and I would probably check it out if it becomes a series. Haven't read the book. The opening title was neat looking.

The Affair is hard work,,,,,first 2 episodes set it up very nicely, then there 2 episodes of utter wank, before it pulls the nose up and glides home

liked the 2-angle/perspective from each character, so what you see through his eyes as a confident, seductive amazonian, slowly reveals herself to be a damged vulnerable human being

there are no whizz-bangs

similarly - Olive Ketteridge, which is a much better/immersive piece of work. Frances whatsherface is superb and gives the drama real bite.

the fall - reaaaally good, anderson is great (and hotter than 20 years ago on x files), lots of interesting twists that don't ruin the plausibility and just in general it feels quite realistic. it tries a bit too hard on current feminist speak cliches but it's still more refreshing than annoying. the 2nd season is even juicier. watch it.

ok, finished with season 2 and it's probably the best detective thriller i've seen. it's like the polar opposite of hannibal with its nonsencial characters and motivations but a hell of a visual spectacle. here we get the depth and details to the fullest that also make sense in the real world. the last 2 episodes have been completely entrancing.

nowt personal but its just another whodunnit, except Gillian is a beacon of utter fuckability compared to most detective shows

its all British tv is good for currently. The Fall & Broadchurch both skate these surfaces
