Its not that I dislike macklemore, his music is run of the mill 'intelligent hip-hop'... but I certainly don't understand the hype behind him. Rappers get too much credit

Wiggers are in mass around Washington state, they ball hard.

I didn't read the entire thread because it is long and monotonous, but in defense of kreashawyn her mom was a punk rocker and her dad is an artist or something. I don't know if they have money or not. I think wigger is a super offensive word though. As far as white people rapping and being into hip hop and all that it is just a the progression of the genre and also racial equality. Hip Hop isn't just for and by black people anymore.

There will be new love from the ashes of us.

Did anyone mention MC Paul Barman or Princess Superstar? Two white and pretty funny rappers if I do say.

I was a big El-P fan right after I graduated from high school, about a year after his debut album Fantastic Damage came out. Then the appeal gradually wore off over the years, until I heard Cancer 4 Cure this year. And now I'm an El-P fan again.

Sonic Sum (from the same label) dropped some good stuff too, especially their 1999 debut The Sanity Annex.

As for Die Antwoord, they pretty much have their own gig. I admire their "we do what we like, we don't care if you like it" attitude.

This. Pretty much challenges the legitimacy of the term 'wigger' itself. In the '90s there was a racial divide in regards to who should or shouldn't embrace hip hop, but that attitude seems to have mostly faded.

Michael Rappaport, not Eminem is to thank for the breakthrough of wigger culture

since i didn't grow up in city or in the ghetto, when think of the term wigger i think of a white kid with rich parents who buys him a low rider and who cultivates an ebonics accent completely through a non organic process. Sure the term is offensive, but it exists. Oh well.

i think the whole discussion here reveals a fatal flaw in how a lot of people come to appreciate hip hop and rap music in general, from the projected myth of being some kind of street thug or hardcore drug addict which isn't exclusive to just non black rappers. Plenty of black rappers do the exact same thing, it's just much easier for people to see through the illusion of white rapper like Kreyshawn.

For instance i like andy milonakis because he's a good rapper. If he went around pretending to be some bad ass street thug, and if he was serious when flashing gang signs i'd probably have a hard time not being distracted by his image in order to enjoy the music
Yeah, I would lay down with both of them preferably at the same time, but you know I'm probably not thug enough for them.
