This. I can't believe people are still throwing it around tbh.

It sticks because it's short and the acronym actually obscures the meaning, making it easy to attach to... whatever. That's pretty useful when there's no real genre identity to begin with (and there isn't). "Intelligent Dance Music" is unquestionably a horrible genre name. To be fair, I think "Braindance" is almost as kak.

This isn't an introverted or antisocial/difficult concept... hell its more social if anything since it takes the spice of elements from a wide range of genres people love ;)

Simple, what's not to love?!?!? certainly not elitist sounding like "IDM". Nice and varied to the point where you could find elements most would find enjoyable... its really just a case of not knowing about it for various reasons, not about being contrary for the sake of being contrary :)

PS: It's Warp records damnit! what did people honestly expect? a return to form? pfft clearly lost the vision on that one.
